Step 1: Vāstu Pūjā
Birthday celebration of Lord Kṛṣṇa · Annual
Prepare the altar with the Kṛṣṇa murti, flowers, and other materials to create a sacred space for invoking Lord Kṛṣṇa's presence.
Begin the ritual by worshiping Ganesha to remove obstacles, then take a vow or sankalpa to perform the pūjā, setting a clear intention for the ritual.
Perform the sacred bath or abhiṣeka to the Kṛṣṇa murti, symbolizing purification and renewal, while chanting mantras like the Kṛṣṇa Gayatri.
Recite the Aṣṭottara Śata Nāma, 108 names of Lord Kṛṣṇa, to invoke His divine presence, seek His blessings, and celebrate His birthday.
Offer ārati to Lord Kṛṣṇa and distribute prasad to all participants, signifying the conclusion of the pūjā and the sharing of divine grace among all.
Conclude the ritual with the māṅgalārati, a ceremonial farewell, followed by the visarjana or the ritual of bidding farewell to the deity, closing the sacred space.
