Consecration ritual · Rare and significant life events
The practitioner makes a solemn vow to perform the ritual with purity of intention, thereby invoking divine grace and setting the tone for the consecration.
A ritual canopy or mandapa is erected and adorned with sacred flowers, leaves, and other auspicious items to create a sanctified space for the ceremony.
The kalasha is filled with gangajala, adorned with tulasi leaves, and established as a symbol of the divine, connecting the ritual to the cosmic forces and the natural world.
The consecration is performed by pouring the sacred water from the kalasha over the object, person, or structure being consecrated, symbolizing spiritual rebirth and the infusion of divine energy.
