Prepare the altar by purifying it with holy water and drawing a sacred geometric pattern, invoking the blessings of the divine for the child's well-being and prosperity.

Step 2Sankalpa

Declare the intention and purpose of the ritual, seeking the blessings of the divine for the naming ceremony and the child's future, while offering sandalwood paste and kumkum powder to the deities.

Step 3Nāma mantra japa

Chant the sacred name mantra, chosen for the child, 108 times to infuse the name with divine energy and invoke the child's inner potential and spiritual growth.

Step 4Abhiṣeka

Perform the ritual bath, by sprinkling holy water on the child, to cleanse and purify the child's body, mind, and spirit, and to mark the beginning of their spiritual journey.
