इति षष्ठः खण्डः ॥ अथाध्यात्मं वागेवर्क्प्राणः साम तदेतदेतस्यामृच्यध्यूढꣳ साम तस्मादृच्यध्यूढꣳसाम गीयते। वागेव सा प्राणोऽमस्तत्साम ॥
iti ṣaṣṭhḥ khaṇḍḥ || athādhyātmṃ vāgevarkprāṇḥ sāma tadetadetasyāmr̥cyadhyūḍha sāma tasmādr̥cyadhyūḍhasāma gīyate| vāgeva sā prāṇo'mastatsāma ||
“Here ends the sixth section. Now with respect to the self: speech is ṛc, breath sāman; this sāman rests on that ṛc, hence sāman is sung resting on ṛc. Speech is sa, breath ama — that is sāman.”
