स ह शिलकः शालावत्यश्चैकितायनं दाल्भ्यमुवाच हन्त त्वा पृच्छानीति पृच्छेति होवाच ॥
sa ha śilakḥ śālāvatyaścaikitāyanṃ dālbhyamuvāca hanta tvā pr̥cchānīti pr̥ccheti hovāca ||
“Śilaka Śālāvatya said to Caikitāyana Dālbhya, 'Come, let me question thee.' 'Ask,' said he.”
