अभिवाद्य मुनींस् तांस् तु सर्वान् एव कृताञ्जलिः अपृच्छत् स तपोवृद्धिं सद्भिश् चैवाभिनन्दितः
abhivādya munīṃs tāṃs tu sarvān eva kṛtāñjaliḥ apṛcchat sa tapovṛddhiṃ sadbhiś caivābhinanditaḥ
“Bowing humbly, Sauti greeted the assembled Brahmarshis, who welcomed him and asked whence he had come and where he had spent his time; accomplished in speech, he answered them fittingly. (trans. K.M. Ganguli)”
