पूरुः कुरुर् यदुः शूरो विष्वगश्वो महाधृतिः अनेना युवनाश्वश् च ककुत्स्थो विक्रमी रघुः
pūruḥ kurur yaduḥ śūro viṣvagaśvo mahādhṛtiḥ anenā yuvanāśvaś ca kakutstho vikramī raghuḥ
“Sanjaya then enumerates many more ancient kings - Puru, Kuru, Yadu, Sagara, Nimi, Nala and countless others - princes of great power and wisdom who, we hear, by hundreds and by thousands, quitting very abundant enjoyments, met death. (trans. K.M. Ganguli)”
