दम्भोद्भवः परो वेनः सगरः संकृतिर् निमिः अजेयः परशुः पुण्ड्रः शम्भुर् देवावृधो ऽनघः
dambhodbhavaḥ paro venaḥ sagaraḥ saṃkṛtir nimiḥ ajeyaḥ paraśuḥ puṇḍraḥ śambhur devāvṛdho 'naghaḥ
“Sanjaya then enumerates many more ancient kings - Puru, Kuru, Yadu, Sagara, Nimi, Nala and countless others - princes of great power and wisdom who, we hear, by hundreds and by thousands, quitting very abundant enjoyments, met death. (trans. K.M. Ganguli)”
