निष्प्रभे ऽस्मिन् निरालोके सर्वतस् तमसावृते बृहद् अण्डम् अभूद् एकं प्रजानां बीजम् अक्षयम्
niṣprabhe 'smin nirāloke sarvatas tamasāvṛte bṛhad aṇḍam abhūd ekaṃ prajānāṃ bījam akṣayam
“When the world was destitute of light and enveloped in total darkness, there came into being the mighty egg, the one inexhaustible seed of all created beings, called Mahadivya, wherein was the eternal Brahma; from it came Brahma, the Prajapatis, the Adityas, the Vasus, the Aswins, the Yakshas, Sadhyas, Pisachas, Guhyakas and Pitris, with the wise Brahmarshis and Rajarshis, and so the waters, heavens, earth, air, years, seasons and all things were produced.
