ततः प्रभृति लोके ऽस्मिन् पूज्यः सर्वधनुष्मताम् आदित्य इव दुष्प्रेक्ष्यः समरेष्व् अपि चाभवत्
tataḥ prabhṛti loke 'smin pūjyaḥ sarvadhanuṣmatām āditya iva duṣprekṣyaḥ samareṣv api cābhavat
“After a while Arjuna obtained the virgin Krishna (Draupadi) at the swayamvara in the midst of a concourse of Rajas by performing a very difficult feat of archery; from that time he became much respected among all bowmen and, in battle, hard to behold like the sun. (trans. K.M. Ganguli)”
